Rhubarb Lemonade

A refreshing chilled rhubarb-lemon drink, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped rhubarb
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemonade powder (or the juice of 2 lemons)
  • 8 cups water

Steps

  1. 1Simmer the rhubarb and sugar in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes, until tender.
  2. 2Strain through a sieve.
  3. 3Stir in the lemon juice or powder to make a syrup.
  4. 4Cool, then mix with 6 cups of cold water and serve over ice.
